B & Dee's Baltimore Love
Lunch Patrol & Community Pride BBQ
B & Dee’s Baltimore Love was founded by Brian Dolbow in memory of his dear friend, Demetrios Mallisham. Demetrios, while working as the mayoral Neighborhood Liaison and the liaison to the LGBT communities, touched the lives of many people across this city. We want to continue his wonderful and important work.
We began serving the homeless in Baltimore in 2013 as a small group of volunteers who would come together a few times per year. Since then, we have grown tremendously! As of February 2018, we have over 1,500 people in our volunteer network. Through our monthly Lunch Patrol program and our larger quarterly events, we typically feed approximately 1,300 people in need every month. Quarterly events include our Annual Black History Month Celebration, Annual Easter Celebration , Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Tribute, a Back to School Block Party, and our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner. These events also feature health resources, clothing and hygiene item giveaways, and live entertainment.
Dedications & Awards
Each year, 12 Days of Christmas is dedicated to member(s) of our community. In addition to this a community service award is given to those who have shown amazing community service over the years.
Thank you to all of those that make what we do possible.
