2013 Mid-Atlantic Contest Judges
Judges: Mid-Atlantic Community Bootblack Contest
slave Jezebel Cavannarro – Atlanta, Georgia.
i was introduced to the scene when i was 19 by a college friend. Although i was too young (and too naive) to understand the significance, i was in the heart of the San Francisco Leather Dyke scene and had some pretty interesting experiences, none of which can be printed here due to decency laws, lifetime confidentiality agreements and dead French masters with no forwarding address.
i’ve lived in many cities across our country, but in 2000-ish i became involved in the Mid-Atlantic Leather/Fetish/Kinky and BDSM communities with a vengeance. In 2011 i moved to Atlanta with Sir Khiki.
Since 2007 i have done graphic design for many organizations and events within our larger kink and Leather communities such as The Floating World, Master/slave Conference, MAsT (regional and International), The Leather Heart Foundation, Southeast Black and Blue Weekend, Team Friendly Atlanta, as well as The Carter/Johnson Leather Library, for whom i am also the official “genie.”
Master Jake – New Kent, Virginia.
Master Jake has been an active member of the Master/slave and Leather communities since 2008. Over the past several years, he has been an instrumental part in the movement to bridge the gaps between generations and to continue traditions. Master Jake has presented at DC Leather Pride, The Master/slave Conference, Charm City Fetish Fair, BESS, The Leather History Conference and for several local groups such as the Richmond Lifestyle Group, TNG of Hampton Roads and TIED. Along with his slave girl Laura, Master Jake is the head of The Next Generation team at the Master/slave Conference and they have a group called Young Master/slaves of Eastern Virginia. Most recently Master Jake has become a staff member for the Carter Johnson Leather Library and spearheaded fundraising efforts in order purchase a van for the library.
Daddy Sal Susino – Neptune Township, New Jersey.
Event promoter, fundraiser, HIV advocate, community organizer, & Chief Cat Herder of the NJ Leather Family, Daddy Sal Susino is from Asbury Park, NJ. He and his partner of 30 years, Dion Daly, like to think of community they call home as proof that Leather is not exclusive to city life. Professionally, he is a Nonprofit Administrator and has played an active role in the development of the State of NJ’s HIV Planning for almost 2 decades. As founder of DRAGONSLAIR Productions, producers of the Mr. and Ms NJ Leather Contest, he proudly promotes leather and bear events that not only raise funds but build community. Mama’s NJ Daddy Sal is the recipient 2012 Pantheon of Leather North East Regional Award, Den Daddy to the Jersey boys of Leather, an associate member of the Jersey Amazons, founding member of Team Friendly Jersey Shore and an Honorary Life Member of Hooker and boys. A Daddy with a penchant for bad boys, Sal is honored to be part of the judging panel for CLAP 2013.
Judges: Mid-Atlantic LeatherSIR/Leatherboy/Leather Woman Contests 2013
Sir John Krikorian – Baltimore, Maryland. Mid-Atlantic LeatherSIR 2010 and 2011.
SIR John Krikorian embraced the Dom/sub lifestyle in his 20′s and was called to leather over nine years ago. He is the proud SIR of his collared boys, boy john and boy david, with several others he considers immediate family. He maintains strict “Old Guard” style protocols in his household and is a stickler when it comes to proper etiquette and good manners. SIR John speaks often on topics related to Sirs and boys, the protection of boys and “Sirs gone bad”. He moderates a successful Facebook discussion group called “Sirs and boys”, and has spun off this group into live discussions around the country. He is also privileged to be a regular presenter at CLAW, teaching skills classes such as Fisting 101, and attends as many local, regional and national events as possible. SIR John holds the titles of Mid-Atlantic LeatherSIR 2010 and 2011, First Runner-Up International LeatherSIR 2011, received the 2010 Davis/Clark Golden Flogger and is Mama’s SIR John.
“It is the duty of every Sir and boy to lead by example, provide educational opportunities about leather, play and the Dom/sub dynamic and engage in honest mentoring”, which SIR John does on a regular basis to anybody who reaches out for help. He also believes there are no experts – that learning is an ongoing process for both Sirs and boys. Therefore, he continues to improve himself, both for his family and community, by keeping abreast of different ideas and techniques, old and new. Helping others to appreciate the beauty of a Sir/boy relationship is his passion.
Andy Tonken – New York City, New York. Mid-Atlantic Leatherboy 2011.
Andy Tonken (Mid-Atlantic Leatherboy 2011). A DC native, Andy lives in Manhattan where he divides his time between a job in sales in the housewares industry, working at The Leather Man, and at True Colors Fund. Andy wishes all of the contestants a great weekend.
Boy Ivan Reyes – Baltimore, Maryland. Maryland/Mid-Atlantic/International Leatherboy 2004.
Born in NYC to a military family, Boy Ivan had the chance to grow up all over the country, and got involved in the leather lifestyle in 1993. He moved to Baltimore in 2003 and had the best time ever being Maryland, Mid-Atlantic, International Leather boy 2004 and proud to be my title Sir, Robert Davis’ title boy, and to have represented my community. He is cancer survivor from 09/11, went into remission 08/12 thanks to chemo/surgery & support/prayers from his leather family & friends thank you all. Mama’s Spirit Boy, in love, in leather, boy ivan.
Morgaine Leather – Manchester, New Jersey. Mid-Atlantic Leatherwoman 2011.
Wish – San Diego, California. Ms. San Diego Leather 2012.
Wish Linda is a femme Leather open-sexual switch who thrives on energy and connection. She resonates with traditional Leather foundations and chooses to walk a path of openness and integrity. With a deep debt of gratitude for those who came before her, she is continually seeking to grow, share, and support others in their journeys, no matter where they are drawn to fly. A native of San Diego, Wish is currently serving as Ms. San Diego Leather 2012-13. Proud member of Mama’s Family as “Mama’s Wish” and a number of other local, regional and national organizations advocating for equal rights, preserving and sharing our history, keeping legislation the f**k out of our bedrooms, and promoting the cause of goodness.
Khiki Cavannarro – Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Atlanta Eagle 1994, Ms. Georgia Leather 1995, International Master 1999.
Sir Khiki learned the hanky code from the back of “Bob Damron’s Address Book” when she was fifteen and she’s been flagging ever since. Visiting and trying to get into those Leather/Sm “coded clubs” listed in the book and reading magazines like Drummer made her salivate and search for places where the Leather Community gathered. Just a few years later she would find, and be accepted by, the Old Guard men at the Atlanta Eagle – no small thing at that time for a woman. She was mentored and trained in the protocols and etiquette that she holds dear and passes on to this day.
Sir Khiki is proud to be a founding member of the Southeast Leatherfest Executive Committee and recipient of a 2002 Jack Stice Community Service award. Among her titles are International Master, 1999, the first Ms. Atlanta Eagle (1995) and Ms. Georgia Leather, 1996. Always outspoken, but willing to listen and learn, she has been active since the early ’90′s in the Atlanta, Southeast regional and national Leather and Master/slave communities as a Master, Owner, presenter, judge, and mentor.
Sara Vibes – New York City, New York. International Ms Leather 2011.

During her title year she traveled to over 30 events from the ANE toy awards to kinky street fairs like Up Your Alley and Folsom Street Fair. She has judged contests, taught workshops, emceed events, and fundraised for the leather woman’s community. She has taught all over the country and in Canada at places like Feelmore 510 art gallery and sex boutique in SF, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Playhouse in Baltimore, Dark Odyssey, and International Mr. Leather. She has contributed and has appeared on Kink Academy, Passionate U, Crash Pad Series, Queer Porn TV, and one of Buck Angel’s PSA’s on being an out and kinky person of color. Her mission is to make sex education accessible to everyone. She hopes to rip the veil off of the shame surrounding sex and sexuality through self love and exploration with people that care about each other.
