The 16th Annual 12 Days of Christmas

Hooker & Boys celebrated 16 years of their annual fundraiser event. The 16th Annual 12 Days of Christmas: Sweet Sixteen was on Saturday December 13, 2014.

Baltimore, Maryland’s Club Hippo set the stage for our greatest combined effort of the Drag, Leather, Straight, Bisexual, and Transgender communities. As usual, the event was Standing Room Only. People came from near and far donating their money, time, and talent to make this year’s program a complete success.

Shawnna Alexander and David Allen, along with ASL interpreters Deb Jones and Susan Weinstein emcee’d a multitude of acts including singing, illusion, dancing, and skits.

During the production there were also silent auction, bootblacking, and pictures taken with Mr. & Mistress Santa Claus. One of the acts in the show included an actual wedding, officiated by Cher (Rik Newton-Treadway) and emcee David Allen: Congratulations to David and Kristopher DeBlase!

Special thanks go to all those who performed, volunteered, or attended; and to the sponsors and kind contributors.

The 16th Annual 12 Days of Christmas raised a total of $12,800. This breaks down to $3,200 to beneficiaries:

  • AIDS Action Baltimore, Scott H. Stamford Memorial Fund;
  • the Lady Lisa Drag Stage (GLCCB: Baltimore Pride 2015),
  • The Leather Heart Foundation, Mark “Spanky” Bialous Relief Fund, and
  • Project REAL (LGBTQ Youth Center, Asbury Park), Mark “Spanky” Bialous Fund.
